Everyone can lead.
Service leadership is a leadership approach in which the primary goal is to serve and help others.
Our Summer Service Leadership Program will encourage members of our community to develop these skills. Through collaboration and personal development, participants will learn how communication and generosity can solve real world problems. By participating, selected leaders will better understand their unique skills and build empathy while giving back to a local school.
Participants will engage in discussion, compete in team-building exercises, and participate in various leadership activities. After our team’s initial training, selected leaders will facilitate English language practice and educational conversation with approximately forty students in Grades 8-10.
To apply: Online applications must be received by July 10. Selected candidates will be notified by July 19. Leadership training and orientation will occur on July 22 in preparation of the service workshops on July 25 and 26.
Participants who fully complete the program will receive certificates at our post-program debrief and celebration. Please contact Learning House with questions.
