Hospitality Abroad: A conversation with René R.F. Wildeman

Have you thought about working in hotels or hospitality abroad? Mr. Wildeman is going to teach you what it takes, what skills you need to develop, and how hotels in Europe differ from those in Nepal.

Mr. Wildeman graduated from the famous Hotel Management School of Lausanne in Switzerland. He worked in several 5-star properties before opening the Swissôtel Amsterdam as General Manager. He managed this hotel for almost nine years before consulting propoerties throughout the Netherlands and Denmark. Mr. Wildeman has also acted as General Manager of the Inntel Hotel Amsterdam and Hotel Amsterdam De Roode Leeuw.

Mr. Wildeman had held several board positions, serving Amsterdam Section of the Dutch Hotel Association, the Amsterdam entrepreneurial assocation and the Damrak-Beursplein Assocation of entrepreneurs. Currently, Mr. Wildeman is Chairman of the Owners Association of Damrak-Beursplein and of the Royal Palace District Association, a marketing association for the commercial centre of Amsterdam. Mr. Wildeman is also a volunteer consultant for PUM, the Netherlands Network of Senior Experts and the Swiss Experts Network SWISSCONTACT, Senior Expert Corps. 

Mr. Wildeman has received several awards for his work in the hotel industry.
